The Command will not tolerate any form of lawlessness/coordinated attack against its personnel. Decisive operation measures have been activated to track and arrest other suspects involved in the act.
“Any attempt by individuals or groups to shield/harbor the suspect will attract severe legal consequences. The era of impunity is over.”
Meanwhile, President, Ilobu-Asake Development Union (IADU), Pastor Olufemi Salako, rejected claims that the community or palace was involved in the attack on police officers.
He said the incident involved individuals and not the community, adding that some hoodlums exploited the situation. He maintained that the palace intervened to prevent further harm to one of the policemen.
