Edwards returns as Bukky in Secrets of the Multiverse

Nigerian teenager, Jessica Edwards, who made a name for herself after featuring as Bukky in the highly successful Nigerian animation, ‘Lady Bukit and the Motley Mopsters,’ has returned for a spin-off, ‘Secrets of the Multiverse.’

Edwards returns to play the role of Bukky in the 13-part sci-fi adventure, which follows two children who accidentally enter a multiverse and find themselves in a perilous realm where their choices could determine the fate of their world.

In a recent chat on her role, 16-year-old Edwards said her experience on ‘Lady Bukit and the Motley Mopsters’ laid a foundation for her more advanced dual role, saying, “This is a more grown-up version, a more advanced version of Bukky. She is the imaginative child, that inner child that we all want to be, but this time she is being sucked into a multiverse, and now she has to combat this group of villains that are trying to wipe out her own world for their own benefit.”
