The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Dr. Oluwole Oluyede, has joined family members, political associates, and well-wishers across Nigeria in celebrating former Senator Ayoade Duro Faseyi, on the joyous occasion of his 70th birthday.

Oluyede noted that Senator Faseyi’s life journey reflects uncommon dedication to public service, humility in leadership, and a deep-rooted commitment to the welfare of the people, particularly at the grassroots level. He stressed that the former lawmaker’s tenure representing Ekiti North Senatorial District in the National Assembly remains widely acknowledged for its people-oriented approach and impactful contributions.

“Senator Duro Faseyi represents the very essence of selfless leadership. His political career has been defined not by the pursuit of personal gain, but by a genuine desire to uplift his people and strengthen democratic values.

At 70, he stands tall as a beacon of integrity, experience, and purposeful service,” Oluyede stated.

The PDP candidate further highlighted Faseyi’s enduring influence within the Peoples Democratic Party, noting that his unwavering loyalty, wisdom, and stabilizing role have helped sustain and reposition the party in Ekiti State over the years. According to him, the former senator has remained a dependable voice of reason and a bridge-builder in moments of political uncertainty.

He also commended Senator Faseyi’s commitment to mentoring emerging leaders, describing his guidance as invaluable to the growth of a new generation of politicians who are committed to service, accountability, and people-centered governance.

“Beyond his years in elective office, Senator Faseyi has continued to contribute meaningfully to the political and social development of our state. His legacy is evident not only in projects and policies but also in the lives he has touched, the leaders he has inspired, and the unity he has fostered,” Oluyede added.

Dr. Oluyede described the 70th birthday milestone as not only a celebration of longevity but also a celebration of impact, honor, and a lifetime devoted to the progress of Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.

“As he marks this landmark age, I celebrate his remarkable achievements and pray that God Almighty grants him continued good health, renewed strength, and many more years of wisdom and service. May his legacy continue to inspire generations to come,” he said.

The governorship candidate reaffirmed his profound respect and admiration for the former senator, noting that his contributions to democratic governance and party development will remain indelible in the history of Ekiti State.
