Raul Jimenez struck twice as Fulham ended a three-match Premier League losing streak with a 3-1 win away to Sunderland.

The Mexico international opened the scoring nine minutes into the second half, peeling away from his marker to head home Alex Iwobi’s corner. Fulham doubled their lead soon after when referee Craig Pawson awarded a penalty following a VAR review that showed Brian Brobbey pulling Calvin Bassey’s shirt inside the area. Jimenez confidently converted, maintaining his perfect Premier League penalty record by sending goalkeeper Robin Roefs the wrong way.

Sunderland responded in the 76th minute after Dan Ballard was brought down by Ryan Sessegnon in the box. Enzo Le Fee powered the resulting penalty into the top corner to reduce the deficit.

However, Fulham sealed the points late on with a swift counter-attack. Harry Wilson raced clear before setting up Iwobi, who calmly chipped Roefs for his first goal since December. The victory, Fulham’s first league win since 24 January and their first away success of the year, lifted them to 10th in the table, above Sunderland.
