According to the former deputy governor of the state, the ruling party is not just the biggest political party in the country, but also, a party that is very strategic, and which cares so much about inclusiveness.

Welcoming those who decamped, including the Abia State House of Assembly member, representing Obingwa West, Hon. Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, who crossed over alongside former Obingwa LGA Chairman, Hon. George Ubani; Hon. Chikezirim Monday Orji; and over 5,000 supporters, in what stakeholders described as a major boost for the APC in Abia State, Dr. Akomas called for unity of purpose at all times in the quest to serve humanity and further develop the country's democracy.

He noted that Erondu Jnr, who is the House Committee Chairman on Public Service Matters, was a foundation member of the APC in Abia, having served as the party's first Administrative Secretary in the state alongside Chief Nyerere Chinenye Anyim, its pioneer National Vice Chairman from Abia.
