The Fagge Local Government Youth Forum has endorsed Hon. Mohammed Shattima Kankare for the Fagge federal constituency seat, calling him the "winning card" for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 polls.
His endorsement came shortly after he obtained the expression of interest and nomination forms.
The forum's Coordinator, Hussain Ibrahim Kota, in a statement, urged Governor Abba Yusuf and the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, and other senior party stakeholders to back the candidate it described as the “popular choice of the youth.”
The group argued that the APC’s success in Fagge next year depends on fielding a candidate with deep community ties and a record of public service.

“We are sending a clear message to the party leadership: if the APC wants to win the 2027 elections in Fagge, Hon. Mohammed Shattima Kankare must be the candidate.
“He is the choice of the people, the bridge between the generations, and the leader who can deliver the results our constituency deserves," Kota said.
The endorsement reflects growing support among Fagge’s youths for Kankare’s leadership on housing, youth empowerment, and infrastructure development, he added.
The forum said Kankare represents “the most viable path to securing a decisive victory for the APC in the constituency.”
