The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration has signed a transformative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Surbaban Broadband to redevelop Jabi Lake Waterfront into an internationally acclaimed mixed-use luxury destination.

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, said during the signing ceremony in Abuja, that the development would position Abuja as a premier global destination akin to Dubai's iconic Palm Jumeirah.

Wike urged the Surbaban Broadband team to adhere strictly to the terms of the MoU, ensuring transparency, sustainability, and excellence in execution.

This ambitious initiative is projected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, stimulate economic growth, and elevate Abuja's waterfront to world-class standards with luxury residential, commercial, hospitality, and recreational facilities.

The FCT Administration reaffirms its commitment to fostering public-private partnerships that drive sustainable development and enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.

Bar. Ahmed Nasser (Dan Darman Lokoja), who led the Surbaban Broadband delegation, said that the partnership marks a pivotal step in redefining Abuja's skyline and global reputation.

"Jabi Lake Waterfront will not only boost local employment and investment but also attract international tourism and business, cementing the FCT's status as Africa's leading capital city,” Nasser said.

Other members of team include 

Mrs Olufunmilayo Hannah Aigbomiam, Mr Idris Usman of First Trust Mortgage Providers and a foreign partner, Mr. Pankaj Khandelwal.

The team committed to mobilizing to site immediately and delivering the project within the stipulated timeframe.

Khandelwal particularly affirmed the company's resolve to deploy cutting-edge international expertise, innovative design, and best-in-class construction practices to realize this vision.
