In celebration of this year's International Women's Day, the Guardian Woman Festival has partnered with the Federal Palace Hotel to host a month-long programme for women.

Themed 'Reciprocity - Give to Gain', the 31-day flagship event will culminate on March 27 at the hotel.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Executive Director of the Federal Palace Hotel and Chief Strategy Officer, Global of The Guardian Nigeria, Anita Athena Ibru described the collaboration as a deliberate effort to move beyond symbolic celebrations toward sustained impact.

“This is not a one-day celebration dressed up as a movement. If we are serious about advancing women, we must build platforms that are sustained, accessible, and designed for real outcomes,” Ibru said.

She noted that this year’s theme underscores the principle of reciprocity, encouraging women and organisations to exchange knowledge, networks, mentorship and opportunities in ways that strengthen families, institutions and the broader economy.

According to Ibru, the programme will feature sessions hosted by women-led networks, professional associations, NGOs and corporate organisations.

"Businesses with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agendas are also encouraged to convene events, centred on leadership development, skills-building and community impact," she added.

On her part, the Chief of Staff, Federal Palace Hotel, Yemisi Fajimolu, noted that the hotel has special incentives for women throughout the festival, including a 20 percent discount on food, beverage services, and hotel lodging.
