Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have killed Justice Abu Oshioke, the 30-year-old Chief Executive Officer of Principle Take Out Eatery and Restaurant, in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
Oshioke was reportedly shot dead just hours before his child's dedication. He had stepped out to pick up an order for the ceremony when the assailants allegedly attempted to abduct him.
Police sources said the victim returned home to collect items for his business when he was attacked. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later confirmed dead.

The Edo State Police Command, through its spokesperson, DSP Eno Ikoedem, said preliminary investigations point to a failed abduction attempt.
She disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, has ordered a full-scale investigation and an intensified manhunt for those responsible.
“The Police, in collaboration with the military, local vigilantes and hunters, are actively pursuing the perpetrators through coordinated operations,” she said.
The command assured residents that efforts were underway to apprehend the suspects and urged members of the public to remain calm while providing useful information to aid the investigation.
