The Abdurrahman Bashir Haske Foundation has launched a Ramadan outreach across the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State, donating N220 million and 80,000 bags of grains to vulnerable households.
The Founder of the foundation, Alhaji Abdurrahman Haske, announced this at the inauguration of the programme yesterday in Yola.
Haske said the initiative was a personal tradition rooted in compassion and a strong sense of responsibility toward the people.
Items distributed include 80,000 bags of assorted grains, cash donations, 10 vehicles and 50 motorcycles.
According to him, the outreach is part of the foundation’s culture of supporting families and uplifting vulnerable households.
“It is not a one-off gesture but a continuous commitment to the welfare of families across the state.
“The cash and relief items will reduce hardship at the household level, while the vehicles and motorcycles will address mobility challenges affecting economic activities in communities,” he said.

The foundation’s Coordinator, Alhaji Abdulrazak Kusa, described the intervention as timely, noting that many Muslim faithful observing Ramadan were facing severe economic challenges.
“With the high cost of living continuing to bite hard, staples such as rice and sugar have become increasingly unaffordable for low-income earners.
“Ramadan also calls for daily iftar meals and acts of charity, and this intervention will ease the pressure on struggling families,” he said.
Kusa added that no fewer than 80,000 individuals were expected to benefit from the initiative.
Some beneficiaries commended the gesture, describing it as timely with the commencement of Ramadan.
Malam Nuhu Abubakar said the support would bring relief to his family at a period when many households were struggling, while Maryam Saleh expressed appreciation to the foundation for the assistance.
