A governorship aspirant in All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Mr Peter Olaoluwa, has said considering his pedigree, he will defeat whoever Governor Seyi Makinde will field as his anointed governorship candidate in 2027 general election.

He said with his 7.0 agenda, he remained the APC aspirant capable of defeating any candidate fielded by any political party, if given the ticket of the party.

Speaking in Ibadan, Olaoluwa said Oyo people were yearning for change, ‘’and the change they want is for APC to return to power in the state because PDP has failed them.’’

He said his ambition to govern Oyo after 2027 general election was driven ‘’by the interest of Oyo people I have in my heart,’’ adding that if given the opportunity, his administration would be guided by selfless service to humanity.

Olaoluwa promised to restore the glory of the state so that Oyo would regain its pacesetter status.

He said: “I will set a standard in the state. Under the current administration, workers receive salary on the 25th of every month. This shows civil servants are receiving salary 12 times in a year.

“But because I’ve worked outside the country and I know the method, how they are paying salary, they pay me every two weeks. This is what I’m going to adopt when I become the governor of Oyo State because it follows the concept in accountancy.

‘’Also, I’m going to invest heavily in agro-allied farming. I’m a farmer. I have more than 100 acres. The farming structure I will put in place is the one that will make it possible for planting to be done all round the year, meaning no dry season, no rainy season.

“My agro-shop will create mass employment. I will subsidise the prices of food items for the citizens.”

Olaoluwa urged APC members and residents of the state to continue to support the party to enjoy more dividends of democracy at the state and national levels.
