Alhaji Ibrahim Egungbohun Dende, widely known as IBD Dende is a prominent businessman hailing from Ogun State who prefers to maintain a low profile and shies away from unnecessary media attention. He values his personal space and adheres to the belief that silence can be a powerful tool for meaningful impact. Despite being often misunderstood, he has consistently defied skeptics through his impactful initiatives aimed at uplifting those in his community.

This year, IBD marked his 56th birthday in a manner that reflected his character quiet yet profound. Unlike the grand celebrations of his 50th birthday, which included a lavish soiree that captivated the nation, he chose a path of understated generosity. On March 3rd, he was away on a holy pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, while friends, family, and associates gathered at his residence in Ilaro to pay homage to his life. The gathering was a heartfelt occasion filled with prayers and lectures led by prominent clergymen, emphasizing gratitude and community.

In a demonstration of his commitment to societal welfare, the celebration also featured a large distribution of foodstuffs and palliative materials organized by his wife, Mrs. Omolara Egungbohun. She has been instrumental in ensuring that his birthday is commemorated in a meaningful way. In keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, IBD is planning to host a special lecture this Saturday, which will culminate in the distribution of thousands of bags of rice and various essential items to those in need.

As the founder of the IBD Foundation, Alhaji Dende is renowned for his unwavering generosity and dedication to making a positive change in the lives of many. His initiatives focus on providing educational scholarships, empowering women and youth, and enhancing healthcare services, all aimed at fostering sustainable development within his community.

Through these efforts, he continues to embody the essence of philanthropy, making a lasting impact that transcends his personal achievements.
