Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Anambra State, Ifeoma Chijioke, has pledged to break the chains holding the agency back over the years like the biblical Esther.

Chijioke, a lawyer, made the promise shortly after receiving her letter of appointment as substantive director of the agency in the state, following her recent promotion to grade level 17 as approved by Director-General of NOA, Abuja, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.

She urged management and staff to place attendance to duty above other things, assuring them that with their cooperation, her leadership would overcome challenges facing the agency in the state.

Underscoring the place of teamwork in taking the agency to greater level, the NOA boss warned against what she termed ‘scattered loyalty’, advising workers to put their loyalties together.

She described her promotion as a thing of joy, praising the DG’s foresight, which she noted had opened more doors for promotion, protection and welfare of workers.

“To whom much is given much is expected. I don’t believe in scattered loyalty; let us put our loyalties together. There must be canes, but not to harm any worker. The canes are for correction, and not to harm. “I have no doubt that the heaven and earth are with me as I embark on the onerous task ahead,” she said.

Chijioke also promised to partner Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led government, which she hailed for its achievements without borrowing a dime.

Offering special prayers for the director, Ordinand ThankGod Obidiegwu of St. Paul’s Anglican Seminary, Awka pleaded with her not to use her new office to intimidate the workers, but to lead them as the mother of all and people of same family.

He says promotions come from God, praying for divine wisdom as she assumes her new office.
