The coordinator of the Ilorin East Patriotic Forum, Chief Babatunde Asanlu, has urged the people of Kwara State to shun sentiments in choosing the next governor of the state.

Asanlu, who offered the advice in a statement issued in Ilorin to declare the forum's support for Dr. Bashir Bolarinwa, urged the people of Kwara State not to make the mistake of choosing the wrong person to govern the state during the general elections next year.

He stated that among the governorship aspirants so far, Dr. Bolarinwa is the best, considering previous records.

Asanlu explained that the Ilorin East Patriotic Forum decided to support Dr. Bolarinwa after examining all the aspirants' contributions towards the development of the state.

The leader of the Forum described Bolarinwa as a unifier and the true face of progressive politics in Kwara state.

Asanlu explained that the contributions of Dr. Bolarinwa during the Otoge struggle resulted in the victory of the APC, then against all odds.

He added that many Kwarans that came across him during his previous political assignments as Council Chairman and member of the House of Representatives in Lagos are still praising him for his love for the people of Kwara in spite of the fact that he was representing Lagos Mainland.

Other members of the Ilorin East Patriotic Forum that jointly signed the enforcement statement include Alhaji Ibraheem Saheed, Mohammed Tajudeen, Abolaji Rahmat, Abubakar Kannike, Babatunde Mahmood, and Sheu Babatunde.
