Actor Mike Godson has refuted claims that he is expecting a child with singer Yemi Alade, stating that his silence should not be mistaken for weakness.
Responding to reports alleging he accepted responsibility for a supposed pregnancy, Godson said he deliberately drew attention to the claim and questioned why individuals create unnecessary controversy.
He described those circulating such reports as purveyors of falsehood.
The actor also recalled a similar episode years ago when a blog falsely claimed he was expecting twins with an American woman. He noted that he chose not to pursue the matter at the time, despite being aware of the legal implications of the allegation.
“People mistake my silence for weakness. Some years ago, Linda Ikeji put out a false narrative about me, misleading the public, saying I was expecting twins with an American woman, knowing full well the legal implications of such a false allegation, but I let that slide.
"And now, my attention has been drawn to this. Why do people create problems for themselves??? What kind of human beings are these? Ok, we shall see”, he wrote.
However, Yemi Alade has not publicly commented on the rumour.
