NADDC marks Tinubu’s birthday with motorsports racing

National Automotive Design and Development Centre (NADDC) unites with stakeholders in the sector to celebrate President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s 74th birthday through Motorsports, while moving to bring out refined hidden forgotten talents in the sector.
Director General, National Automotive Design and Development Centre (NADDC), Oluwemimo Osanipin said the sector has remained informal for too long, stating that it is a hidden gem of backyard brilliance, as the country has a lot of talent in autosports which needs to be refined and presented to the world. They need to be polished, a lot of Nigerians do not know what autosport entails, it is a business, and a big business at that.
Osanipin disclosed this during the Tinubu Turbo Fest 2026 in Abuja, stating that this is an event where the motoring sector gathers to dedicate and to celebrate our own dear father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he marks his 74th birthday, we are also celebrating the spirit of one Nigeria.
“We are celebrating the spirit of Renew Hope. We are celebrating the spirit of a man that decided to give us that hope. This event is the display of power, of precision, and the technical mastery of these machines called cars and motorbikes, they are a direct reflection of the visionary leadership of our dear President.

“We are witnessing the precision and the technical know-how of his knowledge. These are part of what the president brings to bear as a good leader. His commitment to innovation, his belief in the ingenuity of our youth, and his drive to modernise our industries are the very reason why we are here. These serves as a foyer to allow us be where we are today. Under his leadership, we have learned that progress is not accidental”.
The DG added that, the ability to take a standard vehicle through deep technical knowledge, modify it to suit any situation is key in any part of the world plus in motorsports, the hallmark of technological advancement is extremely important.
This is more than just fixing cars. It is the application of science to conquer challenges. This is exactly what our president has done by applying the technical know-how to confront the challenges of Nigeria.
He added that, as the country celebrates the President’s birthday, let this event be a testament to his belief that a new Nigeria is possible, and a new Nigeria is here. Every modification made to this car, every safety check performed, and every lab completed is a tribute to a leader who dares us to be better, to be safer, and more innovative.
