...lauds smooth leadership transition
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has congratulated renowned independent petroleum marketer, Otunba Salimon Oladiti, on his election as President of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG).
In a statement issued through his media aide, Adeola Oloko, the monarch described Oladiti’s emergence as “most welcome and heartwarming at this period in Nigeria’s history.”
Oba Ladoja, who also chairs the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, said the new NUPENG president’s experience in the downstream petroleum sector places him in a strong position to deliver effective leadership.

He noted that Oladiti, popularly known as SAO, is a focused individual who has “paid his dues” and is well positioned to provide the union with the leadership it requires.
The monarch also commended NUPENG for ensuring a smooth transition of leadership, describing the process as commendable and worthy of emulation, particularly among political actors.
