Osun community leader, Olugbodi for burial

Details of the funeral according to a statement signed on behalf of the family by Dr. Dr. Tunji Olugbodi will include: Night of Tributes which will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the First Baptist Church, Ara Kingdom, Egbedore LGA, Osun State at 4:00 PM .

Service of songs will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at  4:00 PM at the same venue .

Funeral service in his honour will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the First Baptist Church, Ara Kingdom,

Interment and reception to follow immediately after the service.

Fondly remembered as a distinguished community leader, philanthropist, and devout man of faith, the late Olugbodi lived a life marked by purpose, integrity, and unwavering service to humanity. A former senior executive at the Central Bank of Nigeria also served as Chairman of Egbedore Local Government and held the prestigious traditional title of Bobagunwa of Ara Kingdom.

Described by family, friends, and associates as compassionate and selfless, Chief Olugbodi dedicated much of his life to uplifting others and strengthening his community.

His legacy of leadership, generosity, and faith continues to inspire all who knew him.

Speaking on behalf of the family, his son, Dr. Tunji Olugbodi, Executive Vice Chairman of Verdant Zeal Marketing Communications Group and Asiwaju of Ara Kingdom, noted that, “We are deeply saddened by Baba's passing and devastated by this loss.

However, we are grateful to God for his extraordinary life of sacrifice, impact, and exemplary service to mankind. His legacy will live on through all of us.”
