The Oyo State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in the fight against armed robbery, recovering stolen goods worth N31.75m and arresting three suspects.
The suspects, Chigbo Mesoma, Erondu Wisdom, and Okechukwu Emmanuel, were arrested following a tip-off from the public about a robbery incident along the Coca-Cola area, Asejire, Ibadan.
The recovered goods include a Howo Long vehicle loaded with 2,000 bags of Karma Agric Chicken Feeds, a cutlass, and a set of Lagos State vehicle number plate.

According to the Spokespersons of the Command, Ayanlade Olayinka, the Commissioner of Police, CP Femi Haruna, commended the operatives for their swift response and professionalism, and expressed gratitude to the public for their cooperation.
"The Oyo State Police Command reassures the public that all efforts are being intensified to rid the State of armed robbery and other criminal activities," Haruna said.
Ayanlade said the suspects are cooperating with the investigation, adding that the police are working to apprehend the remaining members of the syndicate.
The command urges residents to continue providing information, assuring confidentiality and promising to bring perpetrators to justice.
