Political stakeholders across the Warri Federal Constituency have intensified calls on Promise Lawuru, Chief Executive Officer of Bon Hotel De Tranquil, to contest the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections.

The call was made during a stakeholders’ meeting convened by the Warri Federal Constituency Progressive Forum (WFCPF), where chiefs, political leaders, religious figures, women and youth representatives from Warri South, Warri South-West and Warri North Local Government Areas deliberated on the political future of the constituency.

At the meeting, leaders of the forum urged Lawuru to step forward and provide what they described as “a new direction of leadership” for the federal constituency.

Leading the call were Chief Madam Onome Okumagba (Warri South – Urhobo representative), Panama Gabriel Panama (Warri South-West – Itsekiri), Barr. Bawl Wesley Edema (Warri North – Itsekiri), Chief Markson Aghokigho Igiegie (Warri South – Urhobo) and the forum’s Secretary, DCN. Godpower Benakiegha.
