A pro-Tinubu group, the Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu (OYAT), has intensified grassroots mobilisation across Ondo State, declaring its resolve to deliver one million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
The group’s Director-General, Mr Thalis Apalowo, stated this during a mobilisation tour of Owo and Ose local government areas, expressing confidence that President Tinubu would emerge victorious in the next presidential election.
Apalowo said several intervention programmes introduced by the administration, particularly the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which provides tuition support and stipends for students, would boost the president’s chances of securing a second term.
He noted that Ondo State currently enjoys strong federal representation with three ministers occupying strategic positions, adding that residents would reciprocate Tinubu’s support for the state with massive votes in 2027.
The OYAT leader pointed to ongoing infrastructure projects, including the dualisation of the Benin–Owo–Akure road, as evidence of the administration’s commitment to development in the state.
He urged residents to support the president’s re-election bid to enable him to consolidate on ongoing projects and deliver more dividends of democracy.
Earlier, the group’s Director of Programmes and Strategy, Abiola Obanoyen, said members had commenced ward-to-ward and local government mobilisation campaigns to secure maximum support for Tinubu’s re-election.
He also referenced the community’s connection to the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, noting that the minister’s wife is from Ehin-Ogbe in Owo Kingdom.
Responding on behalf of stakeholders in Owo and Ose local government areas, Opeyemi Adekosa and Mr Babatunde Gbalajobi expressed confidence in Tinubu’s re-election prospects, citing the support and influence of Tunji-Ojo.
