No fewer than 2,000 households across Osun State on Saturday benefited from the City Boy Movement Ramadan food package to cushion the effects of hardship during the Holy month.

Beneficiaries, including the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), market women, health workers, pensioners, commercial motorcycle operators popularly called okada, hunters group, widows and People Living With Disabilities (PWDs), amongst others, were drawn from the informal sector.

The Osun State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, Ajani Ayodeji, while addressing the beneficiaries, noted that the food distribution was a token of love from Seyi Tinubu to Muslims, commemorating the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking about the City Boy movement's motive, he explained that the political group was created to secure votes for President Tinubu in 2027.

According to him, the City Boy movement is a bridge between the masses, the undecided voters and the party. It's like a youth wing of the party from the federal level and across the whole federation. We have the organisation at the federal level, the state level and at the local level.

Ayodeji revealed that the food package consists of rice, sugar, salt, oil, tomato paste and spaghetti.

He said: “This gesture is to Nigerians through Barrister Seyi Tinubu. We invited non-political groups, the artisans, the people with disabilities, market women and other residents of Osun State from the informal sector throughout the state to benefit from the sharing of the food palliative to them today.

“We are using this medium to tell them that this is just like the tip of the iceberg, we are trying to let them know we are with them and we want their support as well in the forthcoming elections, especially 2026 in Osun State and the 2027 general election. More is coming from where this is coming from.

“The City Boy movement is a bridge between the masses, the undecided voters and the party. It's like a youth wing of the party from the federal level and across the whole federation. We have the organisation at the federal level, the state level and at the local level. Let us give the president's administration a second chance to do the second term, and a lot will be done. The total beneficiary we have today is 2,000.”
