The Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Prof. (SAN) Epiphany Azinge, has praised the Obi of Issele-Uku Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Nduka Ezeagwuna, for his leadership style.

He spoke during a visit to the Issele-Uku palace over the weekend.

The visit occurred shortly after the Asagba attended the 70th birthday celebration of Bishop Michael Odogwu Elue.

The Asagba praised Obi Ezeagwuna for demonstrating leadership despite his relatively young age, noting his “robust and impressive” contributions at meetings of Delta State Traditional Rulers’ Council.

He described the Obi as a “young man everywhere, building bridges and engaging in cultural diplomacy,” saying his leadership had been widely recognised within traditional institutions in the state.

The Asagba also said the visit provided an opportunity to experience the cultural heritage of the Issele-Uku Kingdom and appreciated the warm reception extended to him and his entourage.

He expressed his intention to visit again and also host the Obi in Asaba.

Responding, Obi Ezeagwuna thanked the Asagba for the visit, describing it as a gesture of honour to the throne and people of Issele-Uku.

He described the Asagba as a father figure and a role model whose counsel had remained valuable to younger monarchs.

Obi Ezeagwuna called for sustained cordial relations among traditional rulers, particularly within Anioma communities.

He says unity among monarchs is essential for the development and stability of their kingdoms.
