Bayelsa Speaker Abraham Ingobere has presented fishing equipment worth half a million naira to the town crier of Buo-Ama community’s Elders Council, Dokubo Bountain.
Buo-Ama, a community in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, is one of the many coastal or riverside settlements in Bayelsa State dotted with mangrove forests and oil-producing communities.
The Nation gathered that the fishing equipment included fibreglass boat, nets, leads, etc.

Ingobere praised Elder Bountain for his efforts in the development of the community, saying the grant was to enable him boost his means of livelihood.

Bountain lauded the speaker for providing him with the grant.
He said he would immediately start when fishing conditions were favourable.
Said he: “I feel great and I am grateful to the speaker for this kind gesture. As for when I will start fishing, the time is bad now, but I will take off when conditions are favourable.”
