“Peculiar Ultimate Concepts has so far done well with the ongoing remodelling, renovation, and upgrading construction work at the Warri City Stadium. Their professionalism and attention to minute details are obvious to see by all here on this inspection,” he said.
Uyi also informed updates from the site engineer on duty, Engr. James Femi, indicated that the project is progressing ahead of schedule.
“I am thrilled to hear from the site engineer that they will complete the project on time. In fact, the Warri City Stadium will be delivered to the Delta State Government before August 2026, which is about four months ahead of the projected handover date,” he noted.
Uyi attributed the accelerated progress to the effective use of modern construction technology, skilled manpower, and high-quality materials.
“What this shows is that they are using appropriate technology, manpower, and the right grade of materials for the construction of this impressive edifice that will serve sportsmen and women in Delta State and across Nigeria,” Uyi added.

Beyond the project itself, Uyi emphasised the broader significance of the work being done by Peculiar Ultimate Concepts, describing it as a strong endorsement of local capacity in Nigeria’s construction sector.
“It is also worth mentioning that the level of competency and high capacity being displayed is a big boost to the local content industry. It proves that indigenous contractors and engineers can be trusted to handle major projects and compete on the international stage,” he said.
He further urged the company to maintain its high standards and deliver a world-class stadium that will elevate Delta State’s status in global sports.
He encouraged Peculiar Ultimate Concepts to “keep raising the bar in order to deliver a top-of-the-range Warri City Stadium that will position Delta State as a leading destination for international football and sporting competitions.”
The Warri City Stadium project, once completed, is expected to significantly enhance sports infrastructure in the state and create new opportunities for all round athletics and sporting development nationwide.
