The Nathaniel Idowu-Ajegunle U-14 Football League delivered a masterclass in drama during Week 6. From stunning upsets to clinical individual performances, the latest round of fixtures kept fans at the edge of their seats.

Moree Wins FA Stun Ajegunle United

In the shock of the round, Moree Wins FA orchestrated a brilliant comeback to defeat Ajegunle United Sporting Club 3–1.

The match started at a frantic pace with Ajegunle’s James Solomon finding the net in just the 3rd minute. However, the lead was short-lived. Moree Wins responded with clinical precision with  a brace  from Chidera Frederick in the  9th  and 40th  minute. Oyebanji Fawaz  who   grabbed  the other goal in the 29th    minute, was  awarded  the Man of the Match, for dominant presence in the midfield and his crucial goal.

Meanwhile, Young 11 FA emerged victorious in a high-octane 3–2 encounter against Michael May FA. The match was a seesaw battle of momentum, but Young 11’s early aggression paid off.

Attiye Raphael opened the scoring in the 6th minute before Adetunji Darasinmi netted twice in the 15th  and 29th  minutes to put Young 11 firmly ahead. Michael May FA responded through Wahab Lateef (10th minute) and James Femi (40th  minute), but Darasinmi’s brace proved decisive, earning him Man of the Match honors.

Pure Talents FA showcased ruthless finishing in their 3–1 victory over Divinely Blessed FA. Igbowu Adeleke was the star of the show, firing a hat-trick in the 12th , 30th , and 38th  minutes. Amadu Daniel had briefly raised hopes for Divinely Blessed with a 4th-minute opener, but Adeleke’s brilliance sealed the win and the Man of the Match award.

Fortune FA continued their dominant run, thrashing Bright Future FA 6–1. Markson Victor scored twice in quick succession (23rd  and 26th  minutes), while Balogun Olajide (14th ), Yakub Akbar (33rd ), and Lot Heritage (35th  and 37th ) added to the tally. Ocheja Ali scored Bright Future’s lone goal in the 28th  minute. Victor’s brace and overall performance earned him Man of the Match recognition.

With the league heating up, several teams are battling for a coveted top-four finish. The leading quartet after Week 11 will advance to the Super 4 playoff, where the eventual champion will walk away with a ₦500,000 prize.
