APC Chieftain,Otunba Dr. Adejare Rewane Adegbenro has lauded choice of Sen Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), as consensus governorship candidate for APC in Ogun State. He said it is a popular move destined to consolidate progress and continuity of the state.

Adegbenro is the maternal grandson of Pa Alfred Rewane, the late financier of NADECO, and the paternal grandson of Dauda Soroye (DS) Adegbenro, former Premier of Western Region.

As the first and only Otunbalaje of Owu, Adegbenro hailed his association with Adeola, noting the senator’s ideals mirror the visionary leadership of his late grandfathers.

He credited the ruling party, under President Bola Tinubu, for ensuring the consensus meeting was conducted without rancour or disagreement. He pointed to this harmony as a testament to the President’s role as a unifying figure and a man of peace.

Hailing the Senator as the ideal successor, Otunba Adegbenro emphasised that Adeola’s extensive legislative experience provides a unique advantage for leading the Gateway State.

He remains firm in his conviction that with Senator Solomon Adeola at the helm, the future of Ogun State will be marked by unprecedented growth and prosperity for all citizens.
