The Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Dr. Yunus Akintunde has hailed significant milestone of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the journey toward a greater Nigeria.

He described official commissioning of the PBAT AGAIN 2027 Support Group Secretariat in Ibadan as testament to the growing pulse of public confidence in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking at the event, the lawmaker while reflecting on the past three years of the administration of President Tinubu acknowledged that while the path of reform has been steep, the gains from the several reforms are beginning to bear worthy fruits for Nigerians and the future of the country.

He said, "Governing a nation as complex as ours requires more than just political will; it requires the courage to be misunderstood in the short term for the sake of the long term.

“President Tinubu took the steering wheel at a time when the economy was heading toward a precipice. Today, through the unification of the forex system and crucial fiscal resets, we aren't just surviving, we are rebuilding.”

The lawmaker stated that the "Renewed Hope" agenda is no longer just a campaign slogan but a visible reality in stabilizing public finances in such a way that it is transforming how Nigeria generates and manages its wealth.

“The steady modernization of rail, road networks, and power grids that serve as the veins of our economy and the investor confidence has renewed global interest in Nigeria as a destination for serious capital."

On the PBAT AGAIN Initiative, Akintunde reserved special praise for Amb. Adekunle Adeleke and the dedicated team behind the PBAT AGAIN 2027 Support Group.

He characterized the new Secretariat as more than just an office, saying “it is a "hub for grassroots engagement."

“I commend Ambassador Adeleke for his foresight. This secretariat is a bridge. It’s a place where the vision of the Presidency meets the pulse of the people of Oyo State.

“It ensures that the momentum of the Renewed Hope Agenda is not just felt in Abuja, but discussed and driven at every kitchen table and marketplace in Ibadan and environs.

Akintunde reaffirmed his personal commitment to the President’s mission, urging Nigerians to look beyond the temporary discomfort of "economic surgery" and see the healing taking place.

“The journey of reform is a marathon, not a sprint,” Akintunde concluded. I am fully committed to backing the policies that advance national unity and inclusive growth.

“We are consolidating the gains, and with your continued support, Nigeria is set to achieve a level of economic resilience we haven’t seen in decades.”

He commended the PBAT AGAIN 2027 group, calling on all citizens to remain steadfast in their support for a leadership that chooses progress over populism.
