The Chairman of Agege Local Government, Ganiyu Vinod Obasa, has launched N100 million Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Support Grant.

 Obasa said the empowerment scheme is structured to equip beneficiaries with practical, income-generating skills, entrepreneurial insight, and professional competence necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving economic landscape.

 According to him, the initiative embodies a carefully crafted pathway designed to nurture creativity, ignite innovation, and transform raw potential into sustainable success stories.

 Through intensive vocational training and business development support, he said, participants are being positioned not just to survive but to excel and contribute meaningfully to societal progress.

 The event featured special recognition for the graduands who successfully completed intensive training across diverse vocational and entrepreneurial fields.

 Beneficiaries demonstrated remarkable proficiency in fashion design, catering services, shoemaking, professional makeup artistry, hairdressing, smartphone maintenance and repairs, as well as the production of essential household items including Izal disinfectant, liquid soap, and bar soap manufacturing.

 The graduation segment of the programme stood as a vivid testament to the initiative’s tangible impact, showcasing the transformation of participants from trainees into skilled professionals fully prepared for economic productivity and self-sufficiency.

 The graduands hailed Obasa for what they described as a life-changing opportunity.
