The organisers of the Doha leg of the Wanda Diamond League confirmed the postponement yesterday.

Originally set for May 8 at the Qatar Sports Club, the event will now take place at the Khalifa International Stadium.

The decision was made after organisers reviewed the situation in Doha in consultation with local authorities and stakeholders, prioritising the safety of athletes and spectators.

Due to the expected higher temperatures in June, the venue has also been changed to Khalifa International Stadium, which offers better conditions for competition.

The Doha meeting is one of the key events in the Diamond League calendar and will now serve as an early-season highlight later than initially planned.
