Lagos governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, Otunba Lanre Jim-Kamal, has unveiled a five-point agenda and pledged $50 billion in partner-backed investments to drive development.
Jim-Kamal spoke in Ikeja, ahead of the May 21 primary.
He said his administration, would focus on free automated education and healthcare, infrastructure development, decongestion of “concentric zones,” and human capital.
The aspirant assured residents that in two years in office, Lagos would produce its rice, saying investors had shown interest in establishing rice plantations in Badagry.
He praised President Bola Tinubu for his contributions to national development, particularly in Lagos and Southwest.
“A good prophet is not accepted among his people, but this time we are accepting Bola Tinubu. He has done a lot for Nigeria, Southwest and Lagos State,” he said.
Jim-Kamal, who hails from Ikosi-Isheri, decried marginalisation of indigenous groups, especially the Awori, noting they are determined to assert their place in governance.

The Chairman/Chief Executive of Nigerturk Consortium Limited said he ventured into politics to serve the people.
He said he would prioritise alleviate the burden on women, ensure children are in school, and introduce laws to curb street hawking.
He also promised a monthly stipend of N100,000 for unemployed youths aged between 18 and 29, alongside N150,000 for elderly residents aged 60 and above.
Jim-Kamal said beneficiaries would be registered through their respective local governments and integrated into job opportunities through partnerships with private sector organisations.
On infrastructure, he pledged to open up the Badagry–Seme corridor through housing, markets and other development projects to reduce congestion in central parts of the state.
He added that his administration would strengthen security by installing monitoring systems at entry and exit points across Lagos.
“All these are not just promises but policy statements that will be implemented from day one,” he said.
