Ahead of the Osun State Governorship election on August 16, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), on Friday unveiled a seven-point manifesto tagged 'PROSPER' which outlined his policy direction and development agenda.
Speaking at the programme held in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, Oyebamiji noted that his agenda aimed at driving economic growth, improving infrastructure and enhancing the welfare of residents across the state.
He explained that his 'PROSPER' agenda stands for Poverty alleviation through good welfare and job creation; Responsive governance; Opportunities for economic growth; Security, Productive Agriculture; Education and healthcare delivery and Renewed investment in infrastructure.
Oyebamiji noted that his vision for the state is to ensure a more prosperous, inclusive and resilient state as he is ready to deliver transparent governance, make sure communities are secure, and every citizen gets the needed support to succeed.
''We will implement targeted social intervention programmes to reduce poverty and support vulnerable citizens. We will prioritise workers' welfare by ensuring prompt payment of salary, drive job creation through public works programmes, enterprise support and strategic investments, among others.''

Recalling his tenure as the Managing Director of Osun State Investment Company Limited, Oyebamiji reaffirmed that he possessed the experience and capacity to govern Osun State into prosperity, saying, “Osun resources will be for all and not be sectionalised.”
He said: “During my tenure as OSICOL MD, I saw Osun State venturing into the oil and gas business, housing and hospitality, having 40 housing estates in Lagos and over 30 housing estates in Abuja.”
Earlier, the Campaign Director General of APC, Hon. Oluwole Oke, who is representing Obokun/Ori-Ade federal constituency, said AMBO conducted a needs assessment for Osun State before coming up with the manifesto.
“He looks at the challenges facing the state, and I can assure you that all the promises are research-driven and they are deliverable by our candidate.”
