Top political leaders, representatives of traditional rulers, and hundreds of Deltans are gathered at the palace of the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, in a colourful atmosphere, awaiting the arrival of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to Warri Kingdom.

Seated prominently at the palace grounds along Ajamimogha Road are Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, lawmaker representing Delta South Senatorial District; Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, and Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, member representing Warri Federal Constituency.

Also present are federal and state commissioners, as well as council chairmen, including Isaac Agbateyiniro (Warri South), Sylvester Oromoni (Warri South-West), Festus Ashima (Warri North), and Warri Voke (Isoko South).

Political and socio-cultural groups such as the City Boy Movement and the Isoko Development Union are also in attendance, alongside representatives of revered traditional institutions, including the Ovie of Uvwie and the Pere of Gbaramatu.

The event has drawn hundreds of Itsekiri sons and daughters and other Deltans who thronged the palace of the Olu of Warri, in anticipation of the First Lady’s visit.

The visit by Oluremi Tinubu is widely seen as carrying high expectations for increased federal presence and development in Iwereland.

The palace grounds are a beehive of activity as Itsekiri cultural groups treat guests to cultural songs, traditional dances, and colourful displays, underscoring the kingdom's rich heritage.

The Olu of Warri is expected to formally receive the First Lady, alongside other prominent monarchs, including His Imperial Majesty, the Oni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and His Majesty Orhue I, the Orodje of Okpe.
