Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of Easter, urging all Nigerians to continue to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the transformation of the country.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau urged Christians to imbibe the selfless attributes displayed by Jesus Christ.

“As the Christian faithful celebrate Easter, it is important to remember the essence of Easter, which is the recognition of the love, sacrifice, and suffering Jesus Christ bore for Christendom,” he said.
He also preached that love and tolerance should prevail above violence, killings, agitations, and other divisive tendencies.

“In our collective efforts to progress as a nation, we must all rise above our perceived differences. Only love and tolerance will make us a great nation,” he said.
The Deputy President of the Senate also used the opportunity to seek the continuous prayers and support of Nigerians for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he steers the ship of the Nigerian state towards progress and prosperity, noting that the President has shown through his policies and actions that the interest of Nigerians and the country is uppermost in his heart.
Senator Barau, who is also the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, further urged all Nigerians to sustain their abiding faith in God and to promote peace, love, unity, and virtues that enhance the country's progress.
