Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Ughelli branch, has conducted a technical inspection of the ongoing building and rehabilitation of the Emevor–Ivrogbo/Orogun Road (Phase 2) in Emevor, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The delegation, led by the Branch Chairman, Gradeone Idama, said the visit was in line with the mandate of NSE to ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications and best construction practices.

Idama lauded the project initiator, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, for awarding the project, noting its potential socio-economic benefits for host communities.

During a detailed assessment, the team praised the contractor, Emo Rock Concept Limited, for adherence to approved engineering standards. According to the NSE, the pavement structure, drainage systems and alignment geometry were found to be in line with design specifications, while the materials and equipment on site reflected acceptable quality and efficiency.

The engineers also made professional recommendations aimed at improving quality assurance, durability and overall project delivery.

They confirmed that adequate Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) measures were being implemented on site, alongside effective supervision and coordination.

The NSE commended the contractor for demonstrating professionalism and technical competence, urging sustained adherence to standards through to project completion.

Representing the contractor, Project Manager,  Oghale Agelebe and Project Engineer, Onoriode Okoledo, welcomed the delegation and described the visit as a valuable technical appraisal.

They assured the team that the project would be delivered according to approved specifications.

Other NSE delegates on the inspection included  Ejiro Iwemah, Festus Nwonye, Omokaro Idama, Samuel Erhire, Gift Okoro and Joy Onosomowho.
