Former Nigerian international Chikelue Iloenyosi has revealed that his intention to contest for a seat on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as board, representing the Southeast zone is borne out of the desire to put the zone in the mainstream of the game.
He stated that his ambition is driven by the need to ensure the region receives fair representation and developmental opportunities.
“I’m not coming out for the fun of it. I’m coming to make sure that anything that belongs to the Southeast gets to us,” he said.

Iloenyosi outlined plans to improve grassroots football, increase appointments for match officials, and organize capacity-building programmes for coaches and referees.
Highlighting his achievements in Anambra State, he expressed confidence in his ability to deliver meaningful reforms even with limited resources.
“I have shown my capacity. With little or no money, we were able to reform football in Anambra,” he noted.
He also pledged support for the current NFF leadership while insisting his mission is service-driven.
“I’m not coming because of money. I’m coming to support football and make sure we get it right,” he concluded.
