A multi-party coalition of young Nigerians, operating under the banner of the Renewed Hope Agenda Continuity Marshals (REHACMA), has called for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

The group maintained that the current structural and economic shifts necessitate leadership stability to bear full fruit.

National Coordinator of the group, Osawemwenhio Uwagboe, at a press conference in Abuja, argued that the "Renewed Hope Agenda" requires a consistent policy direction that only continuity can provide.

He argued that the scale of the country's challenges requires more than a single four-year term to resolve.

Uwagboe highlighted that the movement, which transcends traditional party lines, drew members from various political backgrounds who are united by a vision of national progress.

According to him: "Today we stand here not just as members of one political party, but as young Nigerians… who believe in one thing: Nigeria must move forward.

"We believe that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu represents the experience, courage, and political capacity required to guide Nigeria through difficult reforms and long-term transformation."

He further noted that the organisation serves as a platform for "responsible young Nigerians" who prioritise effective governance over partisan blindness.

The coalition pointed to specific fiscal policies as evidence of the administration's success.

The North Central Coordinator of the group, Jerry Gwom, lauded the floating of the Naira and the removal of the fuel subsidy as moves that have leveled the playing field for ordinary citizens.

"Previously, we used to have selective overnight billionaires who simply went to the Central Bank and had access to dollars," Gwom noted, adding that, "Today, the market is open. Anybody can venture into that business and flourish."

Gwom also highlighted a shift in political inclusion, noting that his region now feels "carried along" by the current administration.

Lending her voice, the women leader of the group, Fatima Lamisula, the movement’s Women Leader, noted that the "troubled waters" Nigeria has navigated for decades can not be cleared overnight.

"I believe that the reward for good work is more work," Lamisula said. "Since we have seen visible changes in the three years he has been in power, I believe we should give President Tinubu another chance for continuity so he can finish what he has started."

Echoing this sentiment, National Youth Leader Yusuf Ishaya, formerly of the ADC, explained his shift to supporting the ruling party based on observed results. "He who sees progress should not sit by the side and wait to be told that it is progress," he remarked.
