Hon. Simisola Fajemirokun-Ajayi, who is contesting for the House of Representatives seat for Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency, has explained why she is in the race.
She said her interest is to develop the constituency and make residents enjoy the best of governmental interventions.
Credited with records including over $150 million in investment pipelines originated and advanced as well as more than $50 million in recovered assets repatriated to Nigeria, her candidacy is gaining momentum among party members and undecided voters.
She said representation should be about understanding the people, knowing the strengths of the land and turning those strengths into real benefits for everyday people.
Speaking with stakeholders across the constituency, she pointed to Ile-Oluji’s strong position in cocoa production.

According to her, it is time to move beyond just producing cocoa and start focusing on how farmers and young people can earn more through better processing, improved support, and access to bigger markets.
She spoke passionately about Ore and its importance as one of the busiest commercial hubs in the State connecting different parts of the country with constant flow of people and goods.
She said with the right attention and policies, Ore can attract industries, create jobs and boost business activities for the benefit of the people.
In Odigbo, she highlighted the bitumen deposits as another major opportunity.
With growing investor interest, she believed the area can witness meaningful development if there is proper representation to push for the right policies and ensure that the benefits reach the local communities.
Many supporters say her experience working for the party in different capacities gives her an edge.
They stated she has worked closely within the government and understands how to navigate systems and deliver results.

As Senior Special Adviser on Strategy, Investments and Partnerships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she played a role in attracting investment opportunities and building partnerships that align with Nigeria’s economic goals, while also driving performance based systems that improved service delivery.
She also served as Executive Secretary of the West Africa Economic Summit Secretariat, where she convened nine Heads of State alongside development finance institutions and regional bodies to drive trade and investment across the sub region.
Her leadership at the summit further strengthened cross border cooperation and positioned her as a key player in regional economic coordination.
She played a strategic role within the party, serving as Head of Secretariat for the APC National Situation Room during the 2019 and 2023 Presidential elections.
In that capacity, she oversaw complex operations that processed over 100 million data points, strengthening coordination, intelligence and real time decision making during the elections.

She is a recipient of the APC Youth Presidential Award and has been recognised by Women in Leadership under Girl Show Nigeria, the Good Planet Foundation in Silicon Valley, and listed among the 10 Most Powerful in Advocacy by YNaija.
These recognitions, according to supporters, reflect both influence and consistency in public service and leadership.
Across Ile-Oluji, Oke-Igbo and Odigbo, there is a growing feeling Fajemirokun-Ajayi represents readiness to deliver, combining grassroots understanding with measurable achievements.
