As Muslims across Nigeria mark the joyous occasion of Eid el-Fitri, the Director-General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Professor Ayo Omotayo, has called on citizens to embrace unity, peaceful coexistence, and a shared sense of responsibility for national progress.

He noted that Eid is not only a time of celebration but also a moment for deep reflection on the values that sustain a stable and harmonious society.

The DG made this known in a statement by Dr.Osime Samuel, Head Public Affairs Department.

In the statement, Professor Omotayo emphasised that the virtues cultivated during Ramadan, including sacrifice, discipline, and compassion, should extend beyond the season into everyday life.

"He urged Nigerians to translate these ideals into actions that promote peace and collective development, expressing hope that the blessings of Eid will bring joy, prosperity, and renewed commitment to building a stronger nation.”
