Veteran forward Anthony Nwakaeme has said Trabzonspor are determined to win all their remaining matches as they push for the Turkish Süper Lig title.

Trabzonspor boosted their chances with an important 2–1 home win over league leaders Galatasaray last weekend. The result has tightened the title race, with Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe sitting just one point behind Galatasaray, who still have a game in hand.

Nwakaeme, who assisted the winning goal in that match, said the team is fully focused on finishing the season strongly.

“Every match is important. That win was a big step for us,” he said. “We have six matches left, starting with Alanyaspor. We will take it one game at a time and try to win all.”

The experienced attacker, who played a key role in Trabzonspor’s 2021/2022 title-winning campaign, praised his teammates for their effort against Galatasaray.

“We knew how important the match was. We worked hard all week and got the result. We are happy for our city and the team.”

Trabzonspor remain firmly in the title race, but their fate will depend on maintaining consistency in the final weeks of the season.
