Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as firm leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Obasa made the remarks on Tuesday, March 3, while chairing the 20th Annual Ramadan Lecture hosted by Hon. Nurein Akinsanya, representing Mushin Constituency I in the Assembly.

Addressing the gathering, the Speaker drew connections between Islamic principles of governance and the administration’s policy direction.

He said leadership entails service, vision, and accountability to the people, adding that the current administration has prioritised economic stabilisation, institutional strengthening, and governance reforms.

Obasa cited developments in the energy, transport, and infrastructure sectors as indicators of policy implementation, stating that the President’s agenda aligns with the values of justice and accountability.

He also called on Nigerians to support the administration ahead of the 2027 general election, urging unity and sustained commitment to national development.

The lecture, themed “Islamic Injunction and Leadership,” was held in memory of the late Chief Moshood Akanbi Akinsanya, father of Hon. Akinsanya.

The event attracted religious scholars, community leaders, and political figures, and provided a platform for reflection on leadership and civic responsibility.
