The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) has unveiled the programme for their forthcoming South-South Zonal Summit scheduled to hold in Asaba, Delta State capital, with a focus on strengthening grassroots mobilisation and harmonising political messaging across the region.
Addressing journalists, the Delta State Coordinator of the group, Funkekeme Solomon, said the two-day summit, themed, “One Party, One Message, One Mobilisation,” will bring together coordinators and stakeholders from across the South-South.
He explained that the initiative followed a similar engagement recently held in Abuja and was convened by the South-South Zonal Coordinator, Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, to improve coordination among party members and grassroots mobilisers.
According to Solomon, activities will commence on Monday at the Press Centre, New Government House, Asaba, with registration scheduled for 8:30 a.m.
Dr. Okowa is expected to deliver the welcome address, while the Chairman of the occasion, Adedayo Clement Adeyeye, will give the opening remarks.
Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, will serve as Chief Host and present a goodwill message, while the National Coordinator and Director General of the group, Hope Uzodinma, is expected to officially declare the summit open.
The summit will feature paper presentations on governance, reforms, and political communication. Speakers include Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, who will speak on rebuilding national foundations through reforms; Felix C. Morka on governance reforms and strategic messaging; and Ajibola Basiru on grassroots mobilisation through party structures.
On the second day, Olisa Metuh will deliver a presentation on intelligence gathering and strategic planning in electioneering, after which a communiqué will be issued.
Solomon said the summit is designed to equip participants with a better understanding of reforms introduced by the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to enhance their ability to communicate government policies at the grassroots level.
He added that the event would also feature the inauguration of local government and ward coordinators, who will be tasked with driving the group’s activities across communities.
About 150 participants, including national, zonal, state, and local government coordinators, are expected to attend the summit. Solomon expressed confidence that the gathering would strengthen cohesion within the group and improve political engagement in the South-South region.
