Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, has installed Rasaq Sijuola as pioneer Mogaji of Looyin dynasty in the Oke Offa Atipe area of Ibadan.
Sijuola, an internationally trained nurse, social worker and economist, was installed at the Olubadan Palace in Oke Aremo, Ibadan North Local Government. The ceremony drew family, kinsmen and other dignitaries.
In his acceptance, he expressed appreciation to family for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to pursue community-focused initiatives to improve living standards in the area and in Ibadanland.
His emergence marks a historic milestone as the first person to occupy the position. Community members described his selection as a forward-looking development that combines cultural heritage with modern leadership orientation and a development-driven agenda.

Sijuola schooled in Agege, Lagos, where he attended Saint Joseph’s Secondary School, graduating in 2000. He is president of Millennium Set Alumni Association, reflecting his commitment to service.
With academic and professional experience in United Kingdom, Ireland, and Finland, and travels in more than 22 countries, he brings a broad international perspective to leadership and professional expertise in nursing, social work, and economics.
Beyond his professional background, Sijuola has contributed to development through Sijuola Social Development Foundation, which has distributed JAMB forms, scholarships, youth sports competitions, and help to religious and community bodies.
The foundation supports the less privileged and provides logistics for community activities, reinforcing its focus on empowerment, welfare, and inclusive development in the Looyin dynasty and beyond.
