These include initiatives to help PSP operators function optimally and ensure the prompt payment of waste bills by residents.

He noted that the non-interest loan initiative was introduced to support PSP operators, strengthen their capacity, and enable them to deliver more efficient services.

Head of Department (Environment), Mrs. Adebimpe Adedipe, emphasised the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a clean environment.

At the event, seven PSP operators—Lamphills & Associates, Advanced Waste Project, Standard Purity Enterprise, Maklad Vibrant Nigeria Ltd, Teni Adams & Associates, Afo Ventures, and Miuz & Kari Limited—each received a cheque of N12 million which will be disbursed over six months.

Clear guidelines were also provided on the repayment structure to ensure the sustainability of the initiative.
