Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, Managing Director and CEO of CEOAFRICA, has been recognised by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the Youth Coalition for Education in Nigeria (YOCEN) for his contributions to media development and societal transformation.

The dual honours were presented at a ceremony in his office, attended by student leaders and youth advocates. NANS conferred on Ilobanafor the title “Icon and Cynosure of Societal Transformation,” while YOCEN awarded him a “Certificate of Noble Prize for Excellence,” describing him as a “Vanguard of Societal Transformation in Nigeria.”

YOCEN leaders stated that the recognition followed a review of Ilobanafor’s professional record, citing his commitment to ethical journalism and promotion of youth-focused narratives. They highlighted his media platform’s consistent efforts to amplify issues affecting underserved communities.

Expressing gratitude, Ilobanafor said the recognition was particularly meaningful because it came from Nigerian youths. He pledged continued dedication to national development through responsible journalism and youth-targeted initiatives, urging students to actively participate in nation-building and leverage Nigeria’s youthful population as a driver of growth and innovation.

Ilobanafor also spoke on his role as the initiator of the Geneith Health Competition (GHC), aimed at mobilising secondary and tertiary students to advocate against malaria, noting that the 2026 edition will further engage young people as ambassadors in the fight against the disease.

The organisers noted that the honours reflect Ilobanafor’s sustained advocacy for youth development and responsible journalism, values aligned with the missions of both NANS and YOCEN.
