From Bolaji Ogundele, Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, on the occasion of his birthday, commending his leadership and the developmental strides recorded in the state since he assumed office.

In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Mbah as a committed leader whose administration has delivered visible progress in Enugu State over the past two years.

Tinubu praised the governor’s dedication to progressive governance and constitutional democracy, noting that his leadership has been marked by transformational projects and programmes aimed at improving the lives of the people.

The President said Mbah’s governance style reflects a strong vision anchored on service, innovation and inclusive development.

“During my official visit to Enugu in 2025, I witnessed firsthand what good and competent leadership, as demonstrated by Mbah, can accomplish when anchored on vision and service to the people,” Tinubu said.

The President also commended the governor’s collaborative approach to governance, particularly his engagement with other leaders in the Southeast region.

According to him, Mbah’s inclusive style of leadership and partnership with fellow governors in the region are helping to reposition the Southeast for economic and political transformation.

Before entering politics, Mbah built a successful career in the private sector, particularly in the oil and gas industry, before he was elected governor of Enugu State in 2023.

President Tinubu noted that the governor’s professional background and leadership experience have contributed significantly to the reforms and development initiatives underway in the state.

The President concluded his message by wishing the Enugu governor good health, wisdom and renewed strength as he continues to lead the state.

Tinubu also expressed confidence that Mbah would sustain his efforts to advance development and improve the welfare of the people of Enugu State.
