Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has described Ramadan as a blessed season for spiritual renewal, divine mercy, and communal solidarity

Radda, who made the declaration yesterday in Katsina, congratulating muslims in Katsina and across Nigeria on the take-off of the holy month of Ramadan.

He charged muslims to use the occasion to draw closer to Almighty Allah through prayers, fasting, Quran recitation and acts of charity.

He said: ‘’Ramadan is a divine gift to every Muslim. It is a time to reflect, repent and reconnect with our Creator. I urge every Muslim to maximise this opportunity and seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

‘’Also, Muslims should offer special prayers for peace, security, and development in Katsina State and Nigeria at large.’’

He noted that the state and the nation faced challenges that required divine intervention, and urged the faithful to seek God’s guidance for leaders at all levels.

The governor urged Muslims to demonstrate the true spirit of Ramadan by showing compassion to the less privileged, feeding the hungry, and supporting the needy within their communities.

He wished Muslims a blessed, fulfilling, and spiritually rewarding Ramadan.
